Columbus Isle Bahamas

Enjoyed a week here. Our first time in Bahamas. We've been to the Club Med in the Turks twice. This one is similar in some ways, different in others. The majority of GM's are French-speaking.
Nice beach and beautiful clear water. Ocean was rough on several days. Kudos to sailing staff, they worked hard to keep the Hobie cats right side up!
Upgraded room was very nice with ocean view. We fell asleep each night listening to the waves.
Flight from Miami was easy. Baggage weight limit is 50 pounds, not 40 as stated by Club Med in communications before our trip. We rode E-bikes to the lighthouse and did another excursion to a lagoon for a boat tour and snorkel on a pretty nice reef.

Amazing beach, great food, loved the parties and the entertainers. The chef du Village Nicolas did a great job making sure everything was fine and and took note of our suggestions for improvements.

San Salvador is such a beautiful island, and this was our third time at Columbus Isle—we just keep coming back! From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. Our friend Maria, who runs the restaurant, took great care of us and made sure everything was perfect.

The food was really good—lots of tasty options, and we definitely recommend booking at La Pinta. Plenty to choose from, and everything was fresh and delicious.

Rooms are big and comfortable, A/C works great, and the whole resort is super well kept. The grounds are beautiful, and you can tell they really take care of the place. The restaurants are also spotless, and the service is top-notch.

Huge thanks to our friends Tony at the Sail Shack and Hugo at diving—they made our trip extra special. Also, thanks to Eliza, Fannie, Isaac, and Guedi at tennis—they were all amazing and made our stay even better. And of course, thanks to our friend Ximena at the bar for always taking good care of us!

We highly recommend renting a car and driving around the island, just like we did with our friends—it’s a great way to explore and see more of this beautiful place.

It was so nice to see our friends again, and we hope to meet with them again on our next visit. Also, a big thank you to the CDV for everything!

Columbus Isle never disappoints, and we’ll definitely be back!

This was my first experience with a club med destination and we will be back and also try other Club meds. We had a wonderful time playing tennis, sailing, taking in fitness classes and dining.

If you want to socialize, there are plenty of guests who are interested, but we are rather private, and enjoyed dining and chatting with other guests only on occasion, and cherished all of the space we had.

The tennis lessons were superb. Max and Charles taught us a lot in clinics and we took private lessons with Charles. He’s an excellent instructor and also makes learning fun. There were 9 courts and always availability when we felt like playing.

Sailing lessons were fun too. I felt very comfortable sailing with Jacob who had a safety first approach.

Yoga and fitness classes were professional and friendly with no more than eight people in each class

The food was surprisingly delicious for such a big clientele. They were always good choices of healthy meals, and other tasty foods. My favorite meal was beef fillet Wellington and I enjoyed several different salads at each lunch and dinner.

We liked our room, which was private and quiet, cleaned every day-and like most other rooms had an ocean view.

Oh! The beach was sublime. There’s plenty of it and it’s all clean. For several days, the ocean water was a little wild, but the rest of the time it was very comfortable.

We have been to Columbus Isle 25 times. The resort is beautiful, its 2 minutes from the airport. The food is amazing. The tennis team is always excellent. Love the yoga. Snorkeling we saw so many beautiful fish and on the way to snorkeling we saw a whale shark. The rooms are fine nothin special, but you dont spend much time in them.
