Bintan Island Indonesia

This was our family's 3rd trip to Club Med Bintan. The service and friendliness levels of the GOs were excellent and they never failed to amaze us with their professionalism and patience towards us during our 5-day stay. Special mention to the following GOs:
Sandy, Angel, Bian, Fenny, Zan and Coco: For their effort to make us feel welcomed through dining at Waterfall restaurant and attending to our requests related to room facilities. In addition, Fenny, Angel and Zan made great effort to interact with our children whether during meal time or Kids Club activities.
Carlos: For his friendliness and making sure that we were seated well during the poolside dinner.
Ai, Ali and Rey: For their attention to details and guiding us during sports or outdoor activities.
Sentha and Fenny: For their patience and willingness to listen to our feedback on the room facilities.

There were many varieties of cuisines provided daily at Waterfall restaurant. The food quality was high and the service standard was impeccable. We always felt satisfied with each meal and looked forward to the next meal to fill up our stomachs.

We enjoyed the activities organized at the resort. Special mention to snorkeling and kayaking as well as the pool fiesta which was a special surprise for our children. They enjoyed the bouncing castles, face painting and tattoo sticking on their arms. They were also enthusiastic in joining the kids club activities such as archery badminton and lunching with fellow children around their age.

Overall, we had so much fun at Club Med Bintan and we hoped to revisit the resort soon!

My 10 year old had a wonderful time trying some of the more difficult wall climbing routes with the fantastic instruction from Richie. Thanks Richie, you made his trip!

Had an excellent 4 days 3 nights stay with comfortable rooms, good food and drinks and great service from all the staff. The GM was always around. Our GOs Anto, Liam and Chris were always attentive. Chef Ong and Chef M Amin were very friendly and approachable seeking our feedback. Must shout out to GO Rita who made us feel very comfortable and at home in her own ways, inspite of being busy all day. Also my wife's favourite ice cream girl Nabilah with her ever sweet smile. Look forward to our next trip back in the new year. Inspite of their daily duties, the GOs put on great entertainment shows every evening to complete our day. Spent 5 days here at the end of May. Wanted husband to experience a Club Med as I had been a few times to Bali decades ago, when my girls were little. It was very different to pre covid days where you would share tables with other guests. I loved that part of the experience but understand the reasoning behind the change. So didn’t really get to interact with others all that much.
The staff really ARE the heart & soul of this place. They make you feel so welcome. I hope they are paid what they are worth because they do make the stay SO much better.
As with all CM food & drink is included. The food was abundant with a huge choice. We ate mostly in the dining room but twice went down to The Terrace restaurant for dinner & a couple of times for a late lunch. It is smaller venue & offers an A la Carte menu. The staff were just delightful. The 2nd night we ate there was because of the hotel’s very low occupancy numbers (around 67) & so they closed the main dining room. The food that night was the best meal we had at CM. Crab bisque, scallops, Tornadoes Rossini (fillet steak) & dessert (which we didn’t eat because we were full!). Also we were entertained by a fabulous guitarist/singer - can’t remember his name …was it James or Thomas? Or neither?? He had a sublime voice.
I had a couple of massages at the spa. So good - very professional & a beautiful set up overlooking the water. Very zen! The staff again, took it to the next level. The activities on offer are varied & we participated in a few - driving range/gym/aqua & a power walk to the golf course. Boy it was hot!!
All the staff are very engaged & really work hard to involve guests. Don’t know how much down time they get as most nights they were sitting with guests having dinner. Our last night we were joined by Noor from events, the delightful Ardhan from (I think) housekeeping & smiley Chris - manager of the Spa. What lovely dinner companions. We really enjoyed talking to them & finding out where they came from. Had pre dinner drinks at the beach bar a few times. We were served by the wonderful Hasan (spelling?). His good nature & his laugh always made me laugh - it was so infectious. What a gem. I was on the look out for the monkeys as I really wanted to see one, but never saw did until the day we left - on the drive outside of the resort.
I tried hard to remember the names of staff who I felt went above & beyond but my memory fails me. As mentioned

The only negative I have is there needs to be some SERIOUS money spent to update & repair the resort. It really makes the whole place feel rundown. The pool surface is quite bad. The roof leaks outside the pool bar when there’s heavy rain. Which fortunately only happened on our last day there.

Our stay at Club Med Bintan was absolutely unforgettable! From the moment we arrived, the GOs made us feel so welcome, especially GO Jacky Feng who went above and beyond to ensure our family had the best experience. His warmth, attention to detail, and genuine care truly stood out—thank you, Jacky!

The activities were endless—whether it was water sports, yoga, or evening shows, there was never a dull moment. But the real highlight was the Mini Club! The teachers there are simply amazing; my son had so much fun that he didn’t want to leave. Every day was filled with games, crafts, and adventures, and we could see how happy and engaged they were.

The whole atmosphere was so vibrant and friendly, thanks to the incredible GO team. We left with unforgettable memories and can’t wait to return. Highly recommend Club Med Bintan for families with kids—it’s a true paradise for kids and parents alike!
